ECOSELECT 1

Small selective soldering system with outstanding technology. Optimalfor manufacturing environments with cell productionWith ECOSELECT 1, Ersa expands its model range with a system that is optimally suited, due to its small footprint of less than 3 m², to a manufacturing environment based on cell production. The semi-automatic ECOSELECT 1 operates in all process steps with the proven Ersa selective soldering technology, just like the larger Ersa VERSAFLOW models, without sacrificing quality and precision. The universal pallet holder allows the processing of board sizes up to 424 x 508 mm (optionally available 508 x 508 mm). The fluxer operates with the highest positioning accuracy and the least amount of flux deposition.

Features such as spray stream monitoring or continuous monitoring of the flux supply tank pressure ensure the presence of the proverbial Ersa process safety. Like the VERSAFLOW model range, ECOSELECT 1 is equipped with a full-area preheating cassette. The lower heater is equipped with 8 emitters, which can be exchanged in groups so that the energy consumed can be adapted to the heat demand and the size of the plate. The top convection heater of the ECOSELECT 1 is optimally matched with the bottom preheater, ensuring effective and reproducible soaking of even the most demanding board assemblies (multilayer, heavy mass), with the energy evenly distributed over the entire board.

Innovative Dual Pot System

Like the large VERSAFLOW systems, the soldering module of the ECOSELECT 1 also comes with an electromagnetic pump installed, making the bath extremely low-maintenance. The pump ensures a very constant welding flow rate and thus provides an exact and finely adjustable wave height. The dynamic process parameters, such as solder level in the bath, solder wave height and solder temperature, are continuously monitored and documented. With the innovative “peel-off” function, defects such as bridging when welding at the 0° level are definitely not a problem. The dual pot system allows two different alloys to be used in the process. Extensive system downtime due to pot changeover is eliminated. Alternatively, the dual pot system can also be used to run the soldering process with two nozzles of different sizes. The ECOSELECT is operated via PC controls with ERSAsoft. The process writer, which continuously records the actual values of all aggregates relevant to the welding process, and the welding protocol, which stores the process data with all information required for traceability according to the ZVEI standard, are part of the standard system specification.

A standard feature is also the comprehensive alarm management. All notifications are stored showing a time stamp and user identification. All data is available in XML format and can therefore be easily worked with. With the help of the CAD wizard, the DFX data of printed circuit boards can be used to create soldering programs. Alternatively, the image of scanned boards can also be used. All movements that the fluxer or solder bath boards should be executing are entered graphically in the board image, and then the process data is entered. The program thus created can be used immediately in ECOSELECT 1.
