Power Board 4080X Flying Probe Test Set

Automatic testing of large and complex PCBs

4080X is designed for accessory-free production testing of power electronic boards, including power inverters, power supplies, power controllers and high-density SMD assemblies.

The system can automatically perform conveyor handling of large and heavy boards (15 kg and even more), then execute accurate testing of electronic parts (digital, analog, power, high voltage test, supercapacitor test, polarity test, relay test) and mechanical parts such as magnets, LEDs and displays.

In addition, additional operations such as optical inspection, flicker, RTC calibration can be performed on the same equipment used for electronic testing.

Max. component height: 150 mm

The mechanical architecture of the 4080X was designed to meet the test requirements of electronic boards with components up to 150 mm high.

No other Flying Probe tester allows you to test PCBs with components of this height, even reaching points inaccessible to spike bed systems.

Up to 180 touches/sec

Full linear motion with linear optical encoders on XYZ axis provide very high acceleration and speed, along with positional repeatability and accuracy over unlimited travel.

Pad Minimum Size: 50 μm

The highest positioning accuracy is ensured by sub-micron resolution linear optical encoders on each XYZ axis, which makes 4080X suitable for touching 50μm pads at high speed and without leaving marks on them, as no other flying probe system can do.

Despite the speed, 4080X probes will touch the pad smoothly. The programmable probing force makes the probes capable of contacting components at near-zero energy: even the most delicate electronics (ultra-thin step pads, sticky boards, flexible circuits) can be tested without risk of damage.

Full test coverage

Complete test coverage is provided by a full range of test capabilities built into the 4080X, and by the highest measurement accuracy available offered by “Flying Tester Technology”: a full forcing/measuring plate integrated into each axis.
